Vice President Kamala Harris…..SHE’S READY!

At approximately 1:30pm EST. on Sunday, July 21, 2024, President Joe Biden shocked the world by posting a letter on Twitter (X), announcing his withdrawal from the 2024 Presidential race. Time seemed to stand still and the uncertainty of Biden not seeking reelection at this late stage, sent shock waves of anxiety across the nation.
But as a former championship track runner, inducted into the Newark Athletic Hall of Fame, I remembered my coach’s advice: “Don’t look back! The race is in front of you!” Welp, in his White House Address, President Biden eloquently passed the baton to Vice President Kamala Harris….and She’s Ready!
The trolls are afoot, and I must shut them all the way down! Don’t believe the false narrative that as a lawmaker she locked innocent Black men up…THAT’S A BIG FAT LIE! You Black men who are spreading that vicious rumor around like peanut butter…please take several seats! Cuz ya loud and wrong! In fact, VP Kamala Harris was known as one of the most progressive District Attorneys of her time..as stated in USA Today.
During her tenure, she fought for the use of body cams and put a stop to banks committing predatory lending. She also Co-founded the Coalition To End The Exploitation Of Kids, spearheaded a task force combating the human trafficking of girls and stopped prosecuting young girls for prostitution — acknowledging that they were victims of rape who needed treatment for trauma and not criminals needing to be incarcerated.
In 2005, A.G. Harris created the nation’s first reentry program titled “Back On Track” as an alternative to incarceration that set nonviolent offenders on a path to gainful employment through job training, life skills and expunging their records after the fact, so that there are no barriers to getting work. The program reported a recidivism rate of less than 10% among graduates in its first two years.
In 2015, in her role as Attorney General, she also created the Bureau Of Children’s Justice within the California Department Of Justice – a prevention program aimed at prioritizing the needs and protecting the rights of children, by spearheading the fight for juvenile justice reform, combating child abuse including #LGBTQIA+ youth, protecting students from discriminatory disciplinary practices, and reforming the foster care system.
The “Back On Track” program still exists today, but despite these achievements, critics cherry-pick information to fit their alternative facts. Let’s be clear..CORRECTION, former A.G. Harris wasn’t tough on crime, she was #SmartOnCrime!
Now, to you #MAGA maniacs who are spewing your racist, hateful, misogynoir, claiming that Vice President Harris isn’t qualified to be the 47th President of The United States, y’all clearly got a hold of a bad batch of edibles! LOLOL. Cuz Y’ALL ARE DELUSIONAL!
Vice President Harris’ track record as a lifelong public servant speaks for itself! She’s a former Prosecutor, Attorney General, United States Senator and now Vice President Of These United States. As a Senator, she co-authored such important, groundbreaking legislation as the #GeorgeFloydJusticeInPolicingAct – to hold police accountable.
She introduced legislation that would have given a tax credit of up to $6,000 dollars to low-and middle-income households. For those of you who have selective amnesia…on the campaign trail in 2020, she championed issues like economic justice, healthcare justice, and reproductive rights.
The Biden-Harris Administration has made significant strides in these areas, including the Child Tax Credit, student loan forgiveness, and preventing medical debt from appearing on credit reports.
Vice President Harris has excelled in her role – meeting foreign leaders and promoting national legislation to protect voting rights and other fundamental freedoms. With a staggering 14 million primary votes already, the base is ENERGIZED and EXCITED to support her as the Democratic nominee to defeat Donald Trump.
So no, she’s not just qualified…sis is bona fide! News flash..she already has an agenda for the next four years, which is why she says Justice Is On The Ballot! Economic Justice Is On The Ballot!
Health Care Justice Is On The Ballot! As of this think piece, her endorsements from key figures like Joe Biden, Representative Jim Clyburn, Governor Gavin Newsom, Representative Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Former President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Kentucky Governor Andy Bashear, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, underscore her widespread support.
Donations are pouring in, with ActBlue raising $70 million from small-dollar donors in less than 24 hours, and #WinWithBlackWomen galvanized an unprecedented 45,000 #BlackWomen on a Zoom call Sunday, July 24, 2024, raising a massive $1.5 million dollars in a single day for #Harris2024. #GetIntoIt! YAAASS!
AP reported that Harris nailed enough delegates to clinch the nomination for president, now she’s in the process of choosing a running mate. Roland Martin’s suggestions are Arizona Senator Mark Kelly, Governor Roy Cooper of Carolina and Governor Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania, because they’re strong pics for battleground states. I agree!
That strategy may serve her well on the campaign trail! As she ramps up her campaign, she stands on business as she delivers remarks at the White House event celebrating the National Collegiate Athletic Association and dropped her new super dope campaign ad – sending a strong message that she won’t back down!
