Thank You, President Biden

Thank you, Joe Biden, for making the right decision! Now, Vice President Harris is free to carry on your legacy of legislation and leadership.
Kamala Harris has the Biden record of achievements to run on, but most of all, she’s sane, and that accounts for a lot this election cycle.
Kamala Harris is for abortion rights, for supreme court reforms, for confronting the reality of climate change, for maintaining democratic institutions, and against Project 2025, an agenda that replaces career civil servants with political appointees and dismantles the democratic institutions that have guided the country since its beginning.
I believe the polls will begin to change, especially for those groups that are much talked about, such as independent and suburban women voters. With Biden out of the race and with the stark contrast between Vice President Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, a former prosecutor, versus an angry, vindictive, indicted old man trying to stay out of prison, I must believe that the majority of Americans will vote for sanity and Kamala Harris.
We are on the cusp of what could be the best days the country has had. If Kamala Harris wins, the Democrats will most likely retain the Senate and take control of the House, and we can move back from the abyss and move closer to the “Promised Land” we’ve been striving for.
Why should young voters care?
The plans that have been outlined in the Project 2025 “Playbook” will affect young lives for decades to come.
NBC News reports that “Specifics of the plan include strictly limiting access to abortion, shutting down all climate change initiatives, abolishing the Education Department, dismantling or downsizing federal agencies like the Department of Homeland Security and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and taking a harder stance on immigration, which includes expanding the deportation powers of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and finishing the border wall between the U.S. and Mexico.
“Ed Benton, a constitutional scholar and political science professor at the University of South Florida, called the plan ‘a very far-right-wing approach to government.’”
“‘It would certainly affect people who depend on the government — low-income, senior citizens and those on Medicare and Medicaid,” he said. ‘The thought is to retrain, almost indoctrinate, people in the field of civil service … to be puppets of whoever’s pulling strings at the top of the federal hierarchy.’”
Make no mistake, we will be living under the economic whip of high taxes, prices and interest payments and reduced social services.
But if Kamala wins the presidency, and only a lot of hard work on our part can make that happen, then our nation, as we’ve come to know it, will be saved.
Joe did the hard part, giving up power for the good of the nation. Now all we have to do is spread the word, vote, and give money if possible.
