Featuring a screening and post-talk of Rebecca Hall’s film adaptation of Nella Larsen’s 1929 novel. The film follows two Black women (starring Tessa Thompson and Ruth Negga) who live on opposite sides of the color line during the Harlem Renaissance. Turner, a friend of Our Time Press, and historian/curator Dominique Jean-Louis will discuss the book and the adaptation of eight decades later. Free.
