Super Bowl stickup
     Three vicious thugs turned a Super-Bowl party into early-morning violent mayhem leaving one person shot, another pistol- whipped, a third person stabbed and 12 people robbed, police said.
The apparent planned robbery started at about 2 am on Feb. 7 as a Super Bowl party in the rear garage of 1136 Saint Marks Avenue was winding down. That was when the three unidentified and uninvited males burst into the garage with guns and ordered everyone to lie on the floor.
After robbing everyone, the thugs robbed two other apartments on the premises leaving in their wake one victim shot in the leg, another stabbed and a third man beaten before fleeing.
Besides the 12 male victims, there were five female witnesses to the crime, which remains under investigation.

Youth-on-youth muggings
The spate of youth-on-youth crimes continued this week with three youths robbing a 13-year-old boy on Feb. 9, police said.
The victim was walking to the bus stop on the northeast corner of Brooklyn Avenue and Saint Johns Place at 2:40 pm when the perpetrators approached him. One thug smacked him in the face while the second snatched his cell phone and the third served as a lookout.
Police arrested a 12-, 13- and 14-year-old in the crime.
Then the next day, on Feb. 10, eight youthful offenders pounced on a 13-year-old youth, stealing his cell phone and wallet, police said.
The victim was walking to the 2 and 3 trains at Saint Johns Place and Grand Army Plaza when he was mugged of his belongings.

Brazen bank robbery
     A midday bandit escaped with two envelopes of money after holding up a bank on Feb. 8, police said.
    The thief walked into the, bank located at 391 Eastern Parkway, at about 3:40 pm and passed an undisclosed demand note to the 22-year-old female bank teller. The teller then handed the bandit the envelopes with an undisclosed amount of money.
The case was handed over to the Special Crimes Unit for further investigation.

Payroll robbed at gunpoint
     An armed bandit held up two payroll clerks at gunpoint on Feb. 10 before escaping with $13,309, police said.
The man walked into the payroll office of MV Transportation, 182 Atlantic Avenue, before whipping out a black handgun and holding up a 79-year-old man and 44-year-old woman for the money.

Albany Houses stabbing
     A 17-year-old youth was arrested for stabbing an 18-year-old youth numerous times on Feb. 8 in the Albany Houses, police said.
The stabbing followed a verbal dispute and caused serious injury to the victim. Police sources said the victim is expected to recover.

Punks mug woman
     Two punks robbed a 20-year-old at gunpoint on Feb. 10,  police said.
     The victim was on the southeast corner of the Eastern Parkway and Rochester Avenue at about 4 pm when the two unknown perpetrators approached her from behind displaying a black handgun. 
The perpetrators took off with the victim’s purse and fled on foot.

79th Precinct covering Bedford-Stuyvesant

Bank robbery
A man in disguise robbed the Apple Bank, 414 Flushing Avenue on Feb. 7, police said.
The bandit walked up to a bank clerk at 12:20 pm and displayed a silver firearm in demanding money.
The robber then fled in an unknown direction and an investigation into the crime continues.

Purse snatched
A perpetrator wearing a black jacket and baseball cap snatched a purse from a woman on Feb. 9 as she walked eastbound on Jefferson Avenue from Franklin Avenue, police said.
The incident occurred at 12:240 am and remains under investigation.

Man stabs woman
A male perpetrator stabbed a woman in the arm on Feb. 12, police said.
The woman, who is expected to survive, was stabbed at 7:10 pm inside 404 Nostrand Avenue.
The investigation continues.
 
Stray shooting
Precinct detectives continue to investigate a Feb. 13 shooting of an 18-year-old man.
The man was shot in the left shoulder on the corner of Marcy Avenue and Gates Avenue at about 8:10 pm. The victim is expected to recover.

81st Precinct covering Stuyvesant Heights
Man shot to death
A 30-year-old man was found shot to death on Feb. 9 in front of 50 Stuyvesant Avenue, police said.
Police responded to a call of shots fired at about 2:30 am and found the man sprawled on the ground with four gunshot wounds.
He was taken to Woodhull Medical Center where he was declared dead on arrival.
Detectives are following leads in efforts to solve the case.

Birthday party shooting
A 37-year-old man is expected to recover after being shot once in the stomach on Feb. 12 after trying to break up an altercation at a birthday party, police said.
     The fight broke out at 3:55 am inside a catering hall at 89 Ralph Avenue, and the victim heard a shot in the crowd before realizing he had been hit, police said.

Two gun arrests
     Police responding to a domestic dispute on Feb. 13 wound up recovering two guns, police said.
    Cops responded to the call inside 678 Hancock Street at 2:45 pm, and the male perpetrator tried to run. Police pursued and caught up with the alleged bad guy.     
     After taking him back to his room they recovered the two guns.

88th Precinct covering Fort Greene/Clinton Hill

Burglarized for smokes
    Thieves brazenly swiped several cartons of cigarettes from a delivery truck on Feb. 7, police said.
    The truck was making deliveries at 3:10 pm in front of 248 DeKalb Avenue when the thieves struck. The driver of the truck saw the thieves through his rearview mirror but was unable to stop them or get a license plate number before they fled in a blue van.

Construction site burglar nabbed
Police responding to a burglary in progress on Feb. 8 collared a suspect as he hoisted construction tools, police said.
The call for cops went out at 1:55 am in front of 448 Myrtle Avenue when the suspect was spotted going in and out of the location with a shopping cart loaded with tools.
A 51-year-old man was arrested and charged with burglary.

Bus pickpocket strikes
     A pickpocket had a field day with credit cards after swiping a wallet aboard the B38 bus on Feb. 8, police said.
    The 59-year-old victim picked up the bus at the Fulton Street and Lafayette Avenue intersection and paid for the fare from her wallet at about 6 pm.
    However, when she arrived home, the wallet was missing from her purse. She then found out the thieves rang up about $1,000 in merchandise from one of her credit cards.

Ignorance is their excuse
     Two thugs stopped a 26-year-old man on the street Feb. 10 with a question only to beat and rob him, police said.
     The victim was walking in front of 46 Saint Edwards Street at 4 pm when the perpetrators approached him with a question before punching him in the face and grabbing his laptop.

Lincoln Navigator stolen
    A quick-acting thief stole a running Lincoln Navigator on Feb. 11, police said.
    The 41-year-old owner of the car stopped the car at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Saint James Place to check the tires. While he was checking them the perpetrator hopped in the car and took off.

Beauty store robbed
    An alleged armed thief robbed a beauty supply store on Feb. 12, police said.
    The suspect walked into Carol’s Daughter on South Elliott Place at 7:55 pm. Then showing a simulated firearm under his coat had the clerk open the safe. The perpetrator fled on foot with its contents.
