    — 77th Precinct covering Crown Heights and Prospect Heights
    Brutal rape
    A sick thug claiming he was  Satan  viciously raped a young woman on May 14, police said.
    The 22-year-old victim told cops the sexual deviant followed her home after she got off the 3 train at Kingston Avenue at about 2:20 am.  He then grabbed her and dragged her to the basement laundry room of her 947 Saint Marks Avenue apartment building.
    Once there, he forced her to remove her clothing and brutally raped her, saying “I am the devil. This is what I do.”
    The suspect then fled. He is described as a black male about five-foot-seven and around 30.
    Anyone with any knowledge concerning the crime can call 1-800-TIPS (8477).

    Gunpoint robbery
    Three goons held up a man at gunpoint on May 14, police said.
    The 49-yearold victim told cops a friend dropped him off by car on the northwest corner of Albany Avenue and Bergen Street where the three perpetrators – all wearing red-hooded sweatshirts – approached him and one of the thugs pulled out a handgun and stuck it in his gut.
    The other two then rifled through his pockets and fled into the Albany Houses with his property.

    Cane beating
    A middle-aged woman beat a senior citizen with his cane on May 14, police said.
    At press time, it was unclear as to what caused the altercation, but the 55-year-old woman was arrested for assault after hitting the 71-year-old man repeatedly with the cane over the head causing swelling and bruising.

    Bottle beating
    A verbal dispute led to a man getting a bottle smashed against his head on May 10, police said.
    The argument started at about 11 pm in front of 693 Franklin Avenue and soon broke into a physical confrontation before the unknown perpetrator smashed the bottle against the 27-year-old victim’s head.
    The victim sustained a cut on the left side of his forehead and his upper lip required stitches.
    The perpetrator fled and police are investigating the incident.

    House burglary
    A sneaky thief burglarized a man’s apartment on May 9, police said.
    The 33-year-old victim noticed his door broken when he came home to his 551 Saint Marks apartment at about 6:30 pm.
    The thief made off with his laptop computer.

    Robbery stabbing
    A group of thugs robbed and stabbed a man on May 10, police said.
    The 42-year-old victim told cops he was approached by a group of males at about 7:10 pm in front of 1322 Bedford Avenue. Then one of the perpetrators pulled out a knife and stabbed him several times before they grabbed his wallet and ran.
    The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital and is expected to recover.
    Cops made two arrests in the case and the investigation continues.

    Crack swallowed
    Cops arrested a man for tampering with physical evidence after he swallowed several vials of crack cocaine on May 11.
    The 26-year-old defendant swallowed the drug as police approached him at about 5:05 pm in front of 1203 Dean Street.
    After swallowing the drug the defendant was taken to Interfaith Medical Center.

    79th Precinct covering Bedford-Stuyvesant
    Felony crime down
    Drops in burglary and auto theft have led an over 14 percent drop in major felony crime for the year, according to police statistics.
    Auto thefts are down nearly 36 percent with 25 reported thus far this year as compared to 39 at this time in 2010.
    Burglary is down about 35 percent for the year with 92 reported so far in 2011 as compared to 142 at this time last year.
    Violent felony crime is about even for the year with five reported murders so far this year and five at this time last year. Rape is up slightly while robbery and felony assault are down slightly.
    81st Precinct covering Stuyvesant Heights

    Gunned down
    A 23-year-old man was shot and killed in the Brevoort Houses on  May 11, police said.
    Rashad Baucom, 30, of 175 Ardsley Loop, was pronounced dead at the scene in back of 234 Ralph Avenue at about 12:30 am with multiple gunshot wounds.
    Police sources  suspect the killer or killers knew what they were doing because Baucom was found away from the street view and in the darkened area behind the building.
    An investigation is ongoing.
    Man slashed
    A dispute over money led to a man being slashed on May 12, police said.
    The verbal argument began at about 9:45 am on the corner of Greene and Patchen Avenues. Then the unknown perpetrator pulled out a pocketknife and slashed the 56-year-old victim several times in the stomach and fled.

    Man shot
    Two men were apprehended in a shooting on May 10, police said.
    The gunplay apparently stemmed from the 30-year-old victim getting into an altercation with another guy over his daughter at about 8:40 pm on Chauncey Street and Saratoga Avenue. After the victim explained the male was too old for his daughter, the perpetrator pulled out a handgun and shot him once in the arm and once in the torso.
    The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital and is expected to recover.

    Teenager shot
    A teenager was shot on the corner of Fulton Street and Utica Avenue on May 12, police said.
    The 17-year-old victim got into an altercation with the shooter at about 1:30 pm when he was shot once in the arm.
    He is expected to survive and police are working on several leads.
