One thing we should thank Donald Trump for is uniting the squabbling factions of the Democratic party, along with independents and Democrat-for-a-Day Republicans and focusing them on a common enemy: the threat to the rule of law and to democracy itself. It’s like your health; you don’t want to lose it.


Vice President Kamala Harris has captured the pent-up energy of the voting masses, yearning to be free, hoping for a third choice, anyone else, to get both of these old white men off of the stage.
And in Harris, we have a perfect champion for this time. She is the next generation, uniting across cultures, and as for supposed flaws, don’t be a player-hater; she’s where she is because that’s what her hand calls for and you have to respect that.
The Harris campaign is moving ahead now under full sail, with money, volunteers, and, critically, passion. That’s called having the wind at your back.


This is being called a honeymoon period of elation, and it is widely acknowledged that there is a lot of work yet to be done. However, what if this burst of enthusiasm is only the beginning? In the same way that Donald Trump brought in millions of new voters to the Republican party, Kamala Harris is having the same effect on the millions who would be on the polar opposite and were looking for something new, young, exciting, and focused on the future, the world they will be living in.


Harris is all of that, and the second stage of her election rocket will be her choice for vice president choice and after the third stage at the convention is fired, this campaign may make it not as nail bitingly close as predicted.
So, let us look at Donald Trump’s upside. He may have done the nation a great service by uniting an opposition that now has the opportunity to restore taken-away rights, repair a broken Supreme Court, and work out a route to that Promised Land.
