Councilman Chi Osse Set for NAN Youth & College Day panel on Saturday, April 15

NAN’s special Youth Day covers a wide range of subjects with guest speakers and special panels. The doors open at the Sheraton Hotel in New York City at 8:00am for registration in the lobby-2nd Floor. A live rally in the Metropolitan Ballroom begins at 9am. Among the leaders scheduled to be “Measuring the Movement” with moderator Rev. Al Sharpton are Savon Arline Bradley, President, National Council of Negro Women; Marc Morial, President & CEO, National Urban League; and Maya Wiley, President & CEO, The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights.


Other Youth Day activities include: awards to the Gambia Youth Project, Stevante Clark, Etienne Maurice and Ivy Coco; a keynote address by Master Hilton Rawls II; and panels on such topics as: The Diaspora, Business and Economic Development; The Rise & Power of Young Electeds in America with NYC Councilman Chi Osse on the panel; Criminal Justice Reform & Practices; Hip Hop at 50: How the Art Form has set the tone for Culture & Activism, moderated by Ashley Sharpton; Protecting Black History in Schools and in America, with Myles Holingsworth,Howard University Gen -Z activist, among others.
