Vice President Kamala Harris Accepts The Nomination At The DNC

    By Lisa Durden

The Democratic National Convention was nothing short of a celebration. It was #LitLit! From the first note of #Beyoncé’s “#Freedom” echoing through the arena to the last cheer for Kamala Harris, the energy was electric. DJ Cassidy set the tone during the roll call, spinning tracks on the ones and twos that had the crowd on their feet.

His musical playlist for each state was an absolute vibe! Every state brought their flavor, culminating in Vice President Kamala Harris’ home state of California rocking out to “#CaliforniaLove” by #Tupac. Epic choice! It wasn’t just a roll call; it was a roll call remix—every beat, every song, was a Bop!

As the days unfolded, the stage was graced by political powerhouses and a host of Hollywood’s who’s who, all united in support of #KamalaHarris. From Kerry Washington to Bill and Hillary Clinton, Comedian DL Hughley, Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, Senator Cory Booker, and of course, President #JoeBiden—the lineup was legendary! But the moments that had everyone talking?

The speeches from #PresidentBarackObama, #FirstLadyMichelleObama, and the incomparable #OprahWinfrey. Their words were powerful, motivational, and deeply aspirational. They came in hot, lifting spirits and rallying the base for the fight ahead. The energy was contagious and the #DNC2024 was officially on fiyah!

Then came the moment everyone was waiting for. On day four, #VicePresidentKamalaHarris stepped onto that Chicago stage, her presence commanding, her purpose clear. The applause was thunderous, the anticipation palpable. And when she accepted the Democratic Presidential Nomination, she made one thing unequivocally clear: “We’re Not Going Back!”

The crowd erupted. The passion in her voice was undeniable as she proclaimed, “#WhenWeFightWeWin!” This mantra was more than words; it was a call to action, a rallying cry for every American who believes in the promise of democracy.

With every sentence, Kamala Harris restored confidence in a future that values equality, justice, and progress. The #HarrisWalz campaign jumped off with a bang, setting the stage for a historic race to the #WhiteHouse.

VP Kamala Harris reassured the nation, if successful, her administration would champion the issues that matter most to everyday Americans. Common sense gun laws, student loan forgiveness, affordable housing, economic stability—these are not just campaign promises; they are the pillars of her vision for a stronger, more inclusive America.

And she didn’t stop there. Harris vowed to codify the Voting Rights Act, Roe v. Wade, and Affirmative Action into law, ensuring that the hard-won rights of all Americans are protected and preserved.  Moreover, she pledged to enshrine these protections into law to create an America where everyone has a fair shot.

But it’s not just about what Vice President Harris plans to do; it’s also about what’s at stake. The #Project 2025 agenda threatens the very fabric of democracy. It’s a plan designed to roll back progress, to strip away the rights and freedoms that so many have fought for.

Madam Vice President addressed the issue, making it clear: under her leadership, this agenda will be met with fierce resistance. “#WereNotGoingBack,” she declared, and her words rang out like a promise—a promise to every American that their rights will be defended.

Her prevailing message – a #KamalaHarris2024 ticket is crucial for everyday Americans. Her pledge boasts to represent a commitment to the issues that affect us all. Gun violence is an epidemic, student debt is crippling, and the dream of homeownership feels out of reach for too many. Economic stability is a distant hope for families struggling to make ends meet.

VP Harris and her running mate #TimWalz vow, with their team at the helm, they’ll stand on business day one in the White House by tackling these issues head-on, with bold policies designed to create real, lasting change.

By now, you can guess that #ImAllInWithKamala, however, I didn’t write this piece to tell others who they should elect. Your vote is your choice and your voice and it’s more powerful than ever.

To ensure your vote counts, what I am encourage all of you to do is to make sure you’re registered, know your polling location, and if you’re voting by mail, send in your ballot early. Stay informed, stay engaged, and most importantly, show up at the polls. The stakes couldn’t be higher!  So, let’s get to work, let’s stay fired up, cuz #WhenWeFightWeWin! The end!
