    Long Distance Runners: Grassroots to Global

    Sunday, Nov. 3, New York State Attorney General Letitia James rallied, and the Emmanuel Baptist Church rocked, more than 55,000 runners during the New York City Marathon, the largest ever, moving past the historic church on Lafayette Avenue at St. James Place in Brooklyn. The winners were Kenya’s Sheila Chepkirui in the women’s race,The Netherlands’ Abdi Nageeye in the men’s race, and of course the Borough of Brooklyn.
