Climate Week Brings out Changemakers

Published on

Climate Week NYC to be held, next week, from September 17-24, 2023, is heralded as the largest annual climate event of its kind, bringing together hundreds of events and activities across the City of New York – in person, hybrid and online. The event takes place every year in partnership with the United Nations General Assembly and is run in coordination with the United Nations and the City of New York. Climate Week NYC is hosted by Climate Group, an international non-profit whose purpose “is to drive climate action, fast”. The official program will bring together “the most senior international figures from business, government, civil society and the climate sector.” Business leaders, political change makers, local decision takers and civil society representatives of all ages and backgrounds, from all over the world, will gather for discussions under the overarching banners of community sustainability and the decarbonization of the earth and our lives.

The BIPOC Climate Justice Dialogue, an official preamble to Climate Week activities, takes place tomorrow, Friday, September 15, 1:00-6:00pm at Columbia University in Manhattan.
Above are changemakers in the climate, sustainability and environment sectors who are among the principals who have been announced to appear at Climate Week NYC 2023.
