Attorney Waterman Continues to Spread the Word on Proper Estate Planning and Protecting Your Assets

Published on

So how can you assure your wishes for your legacy are followed? How can you have a hand in writing, to a certain extent, your story?
Attorney Lola Waterman, an Our Time Press contributing writer, has provided perhaps the most essential way to doing this: take pride in your life, your estate, and your journey and plan, while you are alive, for its future beyond your life.
Last month, Attorney Waterman offered a Free Estate Planning 101 workshop on the need for proper estate planning and how to protect your assets and plan for the future.
The workshop covered the basics lawyer Waterman outlined for over a year in her popular OTP column, including providing detailed information on the mechanics of putting together Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Proxies and Living Wills. It is not enough to just “get a lawyer” to do it, Attorney Waterman informed us, you should know, do and have a say in the writing of your wishes.

The event was held at the Crown Heights Apartments Community Room in Brooklyn by Ms. Waterman who specializes in immigration, elder law and estate planning. She has helped middle class families create and build generational wealth. She has given planning and elder law seminars at churches, senior centers, and senior residences. She even has helped seniors draft wills, health care proxies and powers of attorney.
Our Time Press is proud Lola Waterman, Esq. and Legal Education Organizer, mother of three, continues her work beyond her law office, spreading the word and this ministry wherever she can.
