Borough President Antonio Reynoso visited the Williams Day Care Center last Thursday (12/ 22), bearing holiday gifts for dozens of children at the Nuestros Ninos Child Development School.
It was a chance to bring smiles to children, support the center’s Toy Drive, and celebrate a place that’s dear to him. Nuestros Ninos is the earliest launching pad, outside his family and home, to his current career success. The visit brought back memories of his attendance as a child at Nuestros Ninos, a place where foundations are built, and critical-thinking skills developed.
“Nuestros Niños gave me and my family so much when I was a kid, so my first holiday season as Borough President seemed like the perfect time to return the love,” said BP Reynoso.
“While the holidays are filled with joy and festivities, they can also be an incredibly stressful time for families struggling to make ends meet,” he added. “I’m so proud that Council Member Jennifer Gutierrez, our partners, and I could come together to make sure every family can feel the burst of joy that comes from a new gift for their youngest loved ones.
“With the famous Dominican merengue tipico group Banda Real joining us as well, it was an absolutely magical day. I’m so grateful for everyone who made it possible, especially the team at Nuestros Niños that brings holiday cheer to our local children all year long.”
