One Fish,Two Fish, Red Fish, New Knicks??

July 1st has passed and the leagues best players are still compensating in where they will be playing             basketball this coming season. As expected, all eyes remain on LeBron James, who has been the “cream of the Crop” of this year’s free agent class. James has had meetings with the Knicks, Nets, Clippers, Bulls, and Cavaliers. The meeting with the Knicks lasted over 2 hours.
During the meeting James was offered two options 1. The Knicks can offer him a Maximum contract which will give the Knicks flexibility to sign two free agent Players. Option 2 is to offer LeBron a base salary contract which will pay him about 11.5 million a year and give the Knicks the pleasure to complement LeBron with small Forward Joe Johnson, Chris Bosh or Dwyane Wade. The Knicks had a second private meeting with representatives of LeBron James [James was not present in this meeting] on a Sunday morning.
The Knicks have remained poised and active and have prepare  Themselves with backup plan should James go elsewhere The Knicks have met with Free Agent Power Forward A’mare Stoudemire and has signed  a 5 year contract worth $100 million dollars on  Monday.  Stoudemire, who has played in coach Mike D’antoni’s “run” n gun” uptempo system in their days together in Phoenix. The Two had a breakfast meeting Sunday morning to address any grievances the two may have had with each other. This signing is just a piece of the missing puzzles.
Stoudemire has had phone conversations with Carmelo Anthony, and spurs point guard Tony Parker. Stoudemire stated that the two are “Open Minded” in joining him in New York in 2011.  “Guys ready to join me in 2011” where the exact words uttered by  Stoudemire, The Knicks also met with Dwyane Wade who has stated  that his ongoing custody case plays a big rolle in his decision making. Wade’s kids currently live in Chicago. The Bulls have had two meetings with   Wade. Even though Wade has stated he’s in a “New York State of Mind” he seems   quite optimistic in signing with Chicago. Perhaps James and other free agent    players are laying back to see what team grabs what rolle players first. The Knicks fantasy of LeBron James, A’mare Stoudemire, and Chris Bosh sounds like a dream come true for New York fans, then again the trio of Stoudemire, Tony Parker and Carmelo Anthony isn’t so bad either.
