Pot sales bust

More drug arrests

Two 48-year-old men were arrested – one for marijuana possession and one for heroin possession on March 5, Police said.The two were standing on the southeast corner of Bergen Street and Franklin Avenue at about 1 pm when police members of the Street Narcotics Enforcement Unit (SNEU) moved in and made the arrests.

Counterfeit and robbery

The driver drove the two suspects to the northeast corner of Saint Johns Place at 5 am, March 3, and they tried to pay the fare with a phony $100 bill. When the 50-year-old male driver called the perpetrators on the counterfeit money, one of the thugs put him in a chokehold. The driver then tried to drive away, but it was to no avail and the punk who held him in the chokehold reached through the partition and grabbed $210 before both suspects fled on foot.

The suspects were later picked up in Canarsie. No further details were released.

Heroin and crack bust

Police arrested a 56-year-old man for felony criminal possession of a controlled substance after finding both crack and heroin on him, police said. The man was standing at about 10:30 pm, March 7, in front of 1329 Saint Johns Place when cops arrested him for the heroin possession. Following the arrest they searched him and found the crack.A heartless thug stuck up a livery cab driver at gunpoint on March 6, police said.Two rough scam artists are on the loose for trying to pass counterfeit money to a delivery cab driver and then robbing him, police said.The 45-year-old driver had taken the perpetrator to 859 Saint Marks Avenue at about 11:10 pm when the suspect reached over the seat and pointed a gun at the driver’s head before fleeing on foot with $140.

The 27-year-old victim was walking on Pulaski Street near the corner of Nostrand Avenue at about 6:30 am when two males approached him and demanded his wallet. One perpetrator put him in a chokehold while the second male removed his wallet from his pants pocket.

The perpetrators fled in an unknown direction.

Robbed after post office trip

The 56-year-old man was walking from a post office on Fulton Street at about 3:30 pm and was near Spencer Place when an unknown male perpetrator forcibly removed nine US Money orders totaling $8,400.

The brazen thief fled east on Fulton Street and has not been apprehended.

Burglary on Quincy Street

The incident occurred on March 6. It is unknown how the perpetrator entered the apartment since there was no forced entry.

Man found dead

Police are investigating a possible murder after a man was found dead on March 2, police said.

The 45-year-old was found unconscious at about 1:30 am in front of 8 Stuyvesant Avenue with a deep bruise on his forehead. He was taken to Woodhull Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police are continuing their investigation.

Man stabbed

A landlord allegedly stabbed a former tenant twice in the left shoulder on March 6, police said.

The 26-year-old victim was stabbed at about 1 am in front of 491 Van Buren Street and was taken to Kings County Hospital and identified his ex-landlord as the culprit.

Youth slashed in teen brawl

Following a dispute amongst teens, a 16-year-old was slashed on the left side of his forehead, police said.

The perpetrator approached the victim at about 2:45 am on Greene Avenue and Saint James Place and told her he had a weapon. She handed him $30 and he fled.The thief approached the 60-year-old woman in front of the Emigrant Savings Bank, 418 Myrtle Avenue at about 11:15 am and asked her for help.

The victim then took the perpetrator to her home where she gave her $7,000 as part of a money scam.

Auto break-in

A 21-year-old woman had her car broken into while she was in the gym on March 2, police said.

The woman parked her car on the southwest corner of Willoughby Street and Ashland Place at about 1:30 pm. When she returned, the back driver side window was smashed and thieves left with her wallet containing $80 and her car radio.

Thief held up a 17-year-old on March 3 as he walked to school, police said.A crook depended on the kindness of a stranger and took her for a lot of money on March 2, police said.An unknown thug robbed a 21-year-old woman on March 2, police said.The victim was with a friend when they were approached from behind and the perpetrator displayed a black handgun from his left jacket pocket and said, “What do you have on you?”

The victim gave up his ipod as the thug fled on foot.

A 17-year-old youth was arrested for allegedly stealing a 2010 Toyota on March 3, police said.

The 57-year-old victim had parked his car in front of 166 Myrtle Avenue at about 11 am and when he returned an hour later he found only broken glass on the ground.

Police canvassed the area and made the arrest.The attacker approached the victim at about noon in the Walt Whitman public housing development.

After choking the victim, the cold-hearted thug fled with $500 and her cell phone.

The strangulation left the victim with bruises.

Stick up on North Elliott

The victim was coming home after visiting friends when two perpetrators approached her at about 6 pm on the southwest corner of North Elliott Place and Auburn Place.

An unknown perpetrator held up an 18-year-old woman on March 5, police said.An unknown perpetrator strangled a 21-year-old woman March 5 on into giving up her valuables, police said.One of the thugs stuck a black handgun in her belly and said, “Give me what you got!”

The second thug then took $70 and the victim’s cell phone before they both fled.

A 37-year-old man was arrested after cops observed him selling marijuana on March 3, police said.

The suspect was standing in front of 1166 Pacific Street at about 4:12 pm, and after being searched following the arrest they found an additional undisclosed amount of the pot.

Crack swallowed

The arrest came in the lobby of 516 Lincoln Place as cops were patrolling the building as part of the F-Tap program in which private building owners allow police in to patrol the halls.

A 47-year-old man was arrested on felony charges of tampering with physical evidence after he swallowed crack cocaine on March 4, police said.
